The Global Product Line Manager is responsible for managing the overall strategy for the product range to ensure revenue and margin objectives are met .


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ REQUIREMENTS

  • Support the development and implementation of a long term global product strategy developed by the Global Product Management Director in line with market requirements that creates cross regional synergies.
  • Own the strategic product line roadmap linked to company objectives, competitor threats, and industry changes
  • Identify new product opportunities and timescales based on OE launches, market feedback or supplier ranges.
  • Understand the competitors and their product(s); how does own product have a unique selling proposition.
  • Understand the market trends, consumer trends, and technology trends.
  • Understand regional regulatory requirements or restrictions and ensure compliance.
  • Direct and oversee the product offer: manage the entire product life cycle (product range, new applications, deletions & super sessions, packaging, cataloguing etc.
  • Coordinate the cross functional team ensuring processes are followed efficiently, deliverables are aligned and the team is focused on the same PBP objectives, in line with the global product strategy.
  • Work with the Aftersales Marketing team to ensure correct product positioning and communication at launch and throughout product lifecycle.
  • Develop pricing strategies with the pricing manager and sales representatives.
  • Be the product expert able to support the sales as required with customer visits to support the generation of new business opportunities to directly impact revenue and growth.
  • Provide product specific literature, launch materials for range extensions, make product presentations etc.


REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, engineering or related discipline.
  • Advanced engineering/business degree preferred.
  • Understanding of business & financial drivers & metrics to produce agreed upon results.
  • Emission Products, especially Turbocharger Knowledge.
  • 10 years of experience in business, engineering, or operations
  • 6 years of relevant experience in a product management role, managing complete product lifecycle, preferably in the automotive aftermarket industry.
  • 4P Solutions – Awareness and understanding of the 4 Ps to support global product decisions.
  • Ability to leverage understanding of channels & customers in the marketplace to build innovative product solutions.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others and build effective teams.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience.
  • Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams.
  • Capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience of working within dynamic and change-oriented teams
  • Excellent presentation skills with an analytical, assertive mindset
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Several years of intercultural experience
  • Willingness to travel
