POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Specialist is primarily responsible for IT Customer environment. The Specialist executes tasks to enhance and support the desktop environment, provides specialized IT services (e.g. high level meeting support, root-cause analysis, customer consulting), and provides IT facility related services (e.g. audio-visual environment, security systems, printers/copiers). The Specialist also provides on-site support for the Service Desk teams as needed. This will be a development level role and the individual can grow to assume the next opportunity in IT.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.    Participates in the Enterprise Service Desk Queue Process

2.    Executes the desktop services and standards (e.g. hardware/software, data locations, etc)

3.    Executes the deployment process and desktop image components

4.    Ensures that remote and on-site support issues are resolved to customers satisfaction

5.    Maintains software version control (application and system)

6.    Maintains License Management.

7.    Maintains client security settings (e.g. admin rights, software installs, etc)

8.    Maintains customer configuration options (e.g. screensavers, page layout views, etc) and incorporate into the BorgWarner Desktop image

9.    Maintains client asset inventory, disposal, and refresh plans

SAFETY
This position will adhere to the Global Star Safety Framework as well as safety rules, use of equipment, protective devices, safety practices, and training which are outlined in the BorgWarner Safety Policy Manual. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing incidents and illnesses. He/she must take every reasonable precaution for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and behaviors to their immediate supervisor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Entry level graduates in Information Technology, preferably BA/BS Computer Science or related field.
  • Eager to learn and grow.
  • Driven to develop in all facets of IT.
  • Looking for the first big challenge.
