BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Process Engineering Coordinator at our SLP Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Manager, Product Line, the Process Engineering Coordinator will be primarily responsible for planing, organizing and supervising the activities of the process engineering department to achieve effective management of resources and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, based on the requirements of safety and environment, quality, productivity and lean practices.


• Ensure that safety actions are carried out (potential incidents, safety walks, etc.)
• Execute, in conjunction with the Customer Quality Manager, warranty projects
• Execute in conjunction with the Customer Quality Manager, actions derived from quality problems with customers, attributable to the manufacturing process, Fast Response.
• Execute in conjunction with the Process Quality Manager the actions derived from internal quality problems, attributable to the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that the technical documentation of the process is up-to-date (FMEA, flow chart, PC, process sheets, list of tools, drawings, first and last piece sheets, line release, instructions, LOTO's)
• Ensure the implementation of actions derived from FMEA's and new processes
• Request for approval and execution of CAPEX for existing processes.
• Participation and execution of improvement actions derived from Kaizen workshops.


• Mechanic, Electrician, Industrial Bachelor´s Degree or related career
• Minimum 3 years in a similar position

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner SLP Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires.  This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses.  He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and co-workers.  In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
