POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a student interested in an IT internship opportunity located at our Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI. The intern will be responsible for organizing and reporting Telecommunications orders and upgrades. Tasks also include submitting maintenance requests and tracking for approval windows and timely responses, creating and updating documentation for WAN services. The intern will also be responsible for documenting billing accounts and monitoring financial sites and services.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, organize, and report on Telecommunications orders and upgrades.
  • Ensure proper MACD submission and track for approvals, and timely responses to maintain schedules, and communicate to business units. 
  • Update and create documentation for WAN services.
  • Document and define billing accounts and services.
  • Assist with Business Direct updates, portal access, and understanding and using vendor tools
  • Follow up on disconnects to ensure bill stoppage
  • Safety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Progress towards BA/BS Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be enrolled full time
