The Drivetrain Group harnesses a legacy of more than 100 years as an industry innovator in transmission and all-wheel drive technology. The group leverages this understanding of powertrain clutching technology to develop interactive control systems and strategies for all types of torque management.

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Quality System Manager at our SLP Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Sr. Operations Quality Manager, the Quality System Manager will be primarily responsible for leading all activities related to the Quality System / Document Control and ensure compliance with IATF 16949. Providing support on ISO 14001 and specific requirements of both internal and external customers, as well as direct and manage document control.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure compliance with all activities that involve the maintenance of the IATF 16949 certificate.
• Ensure the allocation of resources during the planning, execution and monitoring of internal and external audits of both the certification house and the clients.
• Establish the necessary mechanisms to adequately control the documentation that supports the Quality System.
• Ensure the communication of changes in processes and procedures to all departments.
• Define and detect prevention methods to ensure the effectiveness of the system.
• Provide immediate response to the reports of non-conformities identified during internal and external audits.
• Guarantee the process of establishing preventive and corrective actions.
• Interact with the Global PDS team to ensure the standardization of processes.
• Ensure the deployment and keep the Quality Policy updated.
• Guarantee training in IATF 16949, LPA, internal auditors, updates, induction, awareness, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in a related discipline
• More than 10 years of experience.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in quality engineering.
• More than 3 years of experience in managerial positions.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 automotive quality standards is required.
