Position Summary

The position manages the day to day quoting, costing, and analysis activities within the Finance Department. This includes coordinating new business quotes, product costing, make vs. buy and other ad-hoc analyses. Provides significant support of the monthly close and forecast processes, as well as the annual budgeting cycle. Lead finance person on Machining or Assembly Leadership Team to help provide problem solving, goal setting, and strategy for the business.  This position reports to the Controller and will gain exposure to all aspects of the business including financial performance measurement, cost reduction initiatives, and strategic planning.

Standard Duties:  

  • Responsible for the supervision and development of one Finance personnel.
  • Provide significant support of the monthly close and forecast processes, as well as the annual budgeting cycle
  • Quoting New Business and Updates to Existing Business
  • Apply financial modeling software to aid in the financial analysis of new business investments. Analysis will include utilizing a variety of resource allocation tools such as Discounted Cash Flow, Economic Value, and Net Present Value.
  • Standard Cost Establishment and Maintenance
  • Assist the Controller in driving for continuous improvements in productivity and cost reduction.
  • Use all means available to support the Plant's mission for consistent improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and service through consistent participation in cross-functional teams, financial analysis, and communication.
  • This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures. He/she will actively participate in the Global Star Safety Framework (GSSF) program, as well as, follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies.

Additional Information:

  • Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

Safety and Physical Requirements:

  • All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear PPE when appropriate in designated campus areas.
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • 6+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • CMA, CPA, and/or MBA preferred
  • SAP/Hyperion experience preferred
