BorgWarner is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Maintenance Technician (3rd) in Seneca, SC.


  • Experience using Rockwell or Siemens PLC software, for the purpose of troubleshooting equipment using PLC ladder.
  • Proficient using a multi-meter and Ethernet cable tester.
  • Effectively understand Electrical construction-building electrical panels, Ethernet cables, and working with hand tools.
  • Perform complex periodic maintenance on automated and other production systems and equipment using knowledge of solid-state circuitry, electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers, etc.
  • Proficient in navigating Microsoft suite products and using standard software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of production systems and equipment.
  • Perform equipment failure analysis and work with a team to develop a preventive maintenance solution.
  • Collaborate with the engineering staff and outside vendors regarding equipment installation, upgrades, and parts.
  • Proficient with Fluke multimeter for troubleshooting electrical systems and verifying electrical energy sources are de-energized.
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines (electrically and mechanically).
  • Knowledge of robotics, servo drives and vision systems/barcode scanning hardware.
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for the purpose of troubleshooting and measuring runout, taper on CNC machine spindles and axis’s.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Able to work in a team and/or independently.
  • Experience with basic hand tools for fabrication purposes and day-to-day use.
  • Must be an effective communicator, verbally and written.
  • Associates degree from a 2-year college or 5 years related experience in an Industrial Maintenance field.
  • Basic computer knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.

Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts.
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to assembly, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
  • All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Stepping up and down off PIT Equipment; walking long distances over extended periods.
