POSITION SUMMARY

BorgWarner is currently seeking a candidate for an intern position at our North/Central/South American Service Desk, located at our Propulsion Technical Center

in Auburn Hills MI.

Candidate should have a basic knowledge of IT technology such as: VPN, User accounts, and basic desktop computing. Knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and ServiceNow is a plus.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and routing IT tickets.
  • Customer service via both phone and face to face.
  • Basic knowledge of triaging of phone.
  • Ability to efficiently communicate and present information with confidence and professionally to the end user.  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • One year of IT related classes or equivalent experience
  • Undergraduate/Graduate student attending an accredited university with an emphasis in Computer Science or related field
  • Must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Must have availability to work a minimum of 25-29 hours per week.
  • Must be detail oriented

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
