Job Summary:

The Intern will participate as member of a small staff, gaining valuable exposure to many of the critical aspects of the Corporate Treasury function at a successful global company. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Updating and rolling over several monthly schedules such as HFM Bank Fee schedule, Debt, Cash, and available Credit schedule.
  • Updating quarterly schedules including but not limited to the debt related schedules, ratings compliance, and pension compliance.
  • Navigate Bloomberg to pull rates necessary for several schedules mentioned above and special projects.
  • Assist with monthly interest accrual journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly capitalized interest journal entry, forecast schedule, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with shared services accounting to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for investment and debt transactions, including accrual accounting and adjusting entries.
  • Daily updates of appropriation requests (AR) and capital spending file with follow through for each AR in its approval process and final destination needs.
  • Assist with data gathering and updating of power point presentations.
  • Financial analysis in support of treasury operations including but not limited to dividend and royalty tracking, pensions, debt and investments, and the company’s global foreign exchange programs including intercompany netting. 
  • Create/update/provide standard work procedures and assist with internal and external audit control procedures.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

  • Financial Planning, Corporate Spending, and Risk Management projects as assigned.
  • Support Treasury cash flow forecasting reports and process improvements.
  • Annual reporting unit guaranty fee audit distribution

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidate with significant progress toward a degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum of 1-2 years general work experience
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Professional communication skills
