Position Summary

Demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge to ensure an ongoing and smooth production operation with optimal use of resources. Supervises a team of production staff to continually improve quality, production, and delivery performance.

Standard Duties:  

  • Responsible for attainting daily Key Performance Indicators for area managed such as safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement.
  • Conducts layered audits and ensures that operational processes are being followed consistently.
  • Consistently applies and executes policies and standards
  • Organizes material flows and inventory to reach productions targets and work in process goals.
  • Evaluates staffing needs and assigns available resources.
  • Ensures all equipment is routinely maintained.
  • Supervises training processes for a team of production staff.
  • Coach and develop team leaders
  • Manages performance reviews and time keeping for area managed
  • Execute daily production plan and continuous improvement activities as set by management.
  • Lead/collaborate with cross-functional groups during day to set pace throughout next 24 hours and to set the off shifts up for success.
  • Provide direction and follow up with off shift Area Leaders to ensure execution of daily plan shift to shift.
  • Analyze production data and take appropriate action for continuous improvement.
  • Understand off shift opportunities and facilitate resolution.

  • Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with computer technology and basic Microsoft Office skills
