Customer Service Representative

Responsible for the prototype department’s customer service as well as ordering and receipt of incoming material.  Provides leadership and creates collaboration among the prototype department’s cross functional group. 


  • Responsible for direct contact with multiple customers to manage shipment schedules and requirements
  • Gains an in depth understanding of SAP sales and distribution module
  • Maintains necessary data and communication in customer systems and portals
  • Monitors customer demand signals for accuracy and changes.  Communicates changes to the prototype group
  • Supports on time delivery to customers, researching and reporting the results.  Looks for permanent corrective actions for issues and drives for resolution
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships to foster collaboration and communication
  • Determine priorities to match available supply to demands to achieve established customer contract obligations and operational business goals
  • Establishes collaboration among the functional groups including, but not limited to, supplier scheduling, production planning, operations, shipping, quality, and purchasing
  • Creates and submits purchase requisitions for all incoming material
  • Oversees receipt of incoming material, verifying accuracy to purchase order, as well as routing sheet creation

Safety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of related experience (automotive experience a plus)
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Products
  • Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills essential.
