Serves as program management lead for all programs for assigned customer(s). Responsible for the execution, performance, and customer satisfaction of all programs, including business pursuits, within assigned customer(s) working with product lead program managers and cross functional team’s (CFT’s) to execute defined BW program management process delivering successful launches. May also serve the role of product lead program manager for specific programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BW program interface to assigned customer(s) for all programs within the region (Pursuit, Launch, and Serial Production Programs)
  • Supports sales in the pursuit of new business, working with the CFT to develop appropriate business case by initiating BW Quality Gate 1 (Plan/Define) and Quality Gate 2 (Product Design & Development)  ensuring clarity and alignment within the internal organization.
  • Manages customer expectations for quality, timing, performance, and cost for all programs.
  • Owns overall risk management plan for assigned customers and programs
  • Supports the product lead program manager in efforts to successfully launch designated customer programs
  • Responsible to manage the development, submission and approvals of necessary BW program appropriations requests w/ support of product program manager and CFT’s.
  • Leads BW CFT to deliver BW contract commitments for those programs assigned to be the product lead program manager
  • Lead voice for assigned programs within BW leveraging necessary program audit, review, and escalation process in efforts to manage and gain necessary resource support for critical program issues.   

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Master’s degree in business, engineering or operations management desirable
  • Fluent in Chinese and English language
  • Minimum 5yrs experience in Program Management, Customer team management, Product/Manufacturing/Supplier development engineering, or Production operations
  • Minimum 2yrs experience either leading or representing function in a global program launch team with a US or European based company
  • Knowledge & understanding of Advanced Product & Quality Planning (APQP) process
  • Ability to travel or be on the road (Customers, Suppliers, BW operations) up to 65% of the time
  • Experienced in MS Office applications (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc..)
