This position demonstrates the ability to complete advanced complex assignments in an efficient manner requiring full use and application of knowledge. The scope of work includes a wide range of difficult and complex problems requiring originality and ingenuity. This position works with minimal supervision to complete projects and tasks.

Standard Duties:  

  • Establish pricing of products supplied out of the Seneca plant as it relates to quoting new business in addition to evaluating changes to existing products and processes and their impact on financial results.
  • Perform discounted cash flow modeling in evaluating business cases and in facilitating appropriation request submissions.
  • Collaborate with product engineering, sales, manufacturing engineering, and purchasing in the determination of part and tool costs when quoting new business.
  • Identify key drivers and develop appropriate analysis and reporting, including financial modeling of manufacturing costs and revenues to influence decision making.
  • Actively participate in budget (LRP) and forecasting processes, product costing and evaluation of manufacturing fixed and variable costs
  • Build relationships and partner with operations to evaluate and analyze business plans and forecasts against strategic and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities and develop recommendations for process and margin/profitability improvements.
  • Lead the quoting process at Seneca to ensure all quotes are financially sound and successful in reaching financial targets set by Business Unit. Use interpersonal savvy to drive results and reduce quoting time.
  • Manage budget and forecasting for Seneca support departments including a monthly review with department heads. Review key accounts with department managers monthly. Ensure costs are assigned to the correct cost center. Complete actual to forecast analyst and distribute to the department heads.
  • Other activities - Assists with various ad hoc project work, reporting and other tasks as necessary.

Additional Information:

  • Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • HFM experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Highly driven/self-starter
