Position Summary:

Assist advanced engineering controls team in the development and analysis of powertrain electrification components and systems. Run simulations of dynamic systems and evaluate the results.  Develop or update existing analytical tools. Assist in the documentation of designs, procedures, and other work products. Work and communicate in a team setting. Create documentation using good writing skills.  

Key Responsibilities:

-Automobile Powertrain Systems – Demonstrates basic understanding of automobile powertrains and electrification.

-Documentation Skills – Demonstrates ability to write fluently to describe powertrain components, systems and test results.

-Communication Skills – Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and customers.

-Teamwork – Considers and seeks out the impact of his/her actions within the team.  Actively seeks collaboration with internal and external team members.

Required Experience:

  • GPA must be 3.0 or higher
  • Major or degree in ME/EE/CS/CE
  • Undergraduate Sophomore standing or above
  • Experience with programming/coding languages (C, C++, Python, Java, etc.)
  • Experience with Simulink modeling

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with any version control software (i.e. Tortoise, Git, etc.)
  • Experience with optimization of parameters within a simulation model  (i.e. Design of Experiments)
  • Experience using libraries or stateflow within Simulink
  • Experience with GT-SUITE modeling on any level.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) coding for macro development
  • Previous co-op/intern experience
