HR Coordinator - Production Support

Position Description

This position will coordinate a variety of administrative functions for Human Resources including Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Safety and Health, Training, Legal Compliance, and Recruitment. This position will support the production team and will spend time on the shop floor every day.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for employees in Operations including:
    • General HR support – answer questions, assist with HRIS needs, ensures employee needs are met.
    • Maintain data integrity of HRIS – submit changes as needed
    • Timely deactivation of access
    • Spends time on a production floor supporting employees
  • Post hourly jobs in HRIS
  • Responsible for contract labor employees including:
    • Filling hourly openings
    • Maintaining HRIS (Entering into HRIS)
    • Timely deactivation of access
  • Onboard hourly employees & contract labor employees.
  • Coordinate Leave of Absence for all hourly employees.
  • Prepare various reports from HRIS database. 
    • Step Progressions
  • Issue Purchase Requisitions (PR) for Vendors in SAP
  • Ensure compliance with Record Keeping Requirements
  • Assist with open enrollment and arranges for distribution of materials, assists with communications to employees, and processes changes within deadlines.    
  • Assist with Biometric administrative needs.
  • Provide administrative support to human resources function as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Have excellent presentation skills, time management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency

Required Education

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Elements

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Associates Degree in related field
