BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Electronics Software Test and Automation Engineer at our Indiana Technical Center (ITC) in Kokomo, Indiana.

The Electronics Software Test and Automation Engineer will be responsible for executing System and Software Verification tasks including manual testing, developing automated test scripts, and participating in SW release activities for the Electrification product line.

Job Duties:

  • Writing test specifications/plans for customer projects
  • Developing validation tests and automation scripts for electrical bench, Power HiL, HV Integration, Dyne, and vehicle
  • Executing Test Cases and maintaining traceability
  • Follow the process as Defined for SYS/SW Verification
  • Follow Defect Tracking Process as defined


  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years engineering experience, however, preference will be given to those with 5+ years
  • Have 2 or more years’ direct experience as Validation/Test Engineer or in System/Software validation.
  • Experienced in Writing Test specification on Requirements as well as Designs.
  • Experienced in Executing Tests on different environments e.g. Vehicle, Bench, HIL.
  • DSpace/NI/CAN Tool experience (CANstress, CANoe etc.).
  • Knowledge of Excel/XML/XLST standards.
  • Matlab/Simulink Experience.
  • Labview experience
  • Experience in Defect Tracking Process Tools, JIRA.
  • Collaborative, team player, and display a high level of maturity
  • Likes challenging problems with strong problem solving skills
  • Customer focused
  • Knowledge of Electrification automotive applications preferred
  • Experienced in using PXI hardware test platforms preferred
  • Experience with controls type software, Labview, Teststand, etc. preferred
