POSITION SUMMARY

  • Early involvement in new program
  • Release new supplier and new product
  • Conduct APQP (WAR, PPAP) process
  • Improve supplier process quality and product quality in SOP+3month.
  • Team work together with buyer and SQE

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for APQP for new programs & new products
  • Responsible for scheduled PPAP audit
  • Responsible for quality performance of supplier in SOP+3 months
  • Responsible for PPAP for non NPI activity (eg process change)
  • Responsible for supplier process development and capability validation
  • Provide communication links with manufacturing
  • Effective use of labor and equipment
  • Support Potential supplier initial audits
  • Support New supplier identification and selection for commodity bid list
  • Support supplier pre-nomination from bidding list application development
  • Support design review (Design to cost, design to mfg)
  • Support supplier selection application development
  • Support plant level supplier score card
  • Support change management
  • Support complaint management
  • Should strictly abide the EHS rules and regulations and behavior guide line in the plant; wear PPE in right way; actively participate in EHS training; do housekeeping at work; report accidents and unsafe issues immediately, join the accident disposal. Specific presentation can be reached in TMS system and individual job description
  • Follow plant environment, occupational health and safety rules and convey it to suppliers
  • Ensure GSSF&TRIR/LCTR reach yearly target

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Above Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical degree
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience, at least 2-year quality management experience, preferable in automotive or automotive Supplier industry, in field of Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Demonstrate an expertise in program management and problem-solving skills, including being able to identify, investigate and resolve supplier technical and/or systemic issues.
  • Possess the ability to be self-directed and simultaneously manage multiple projects and objectives.
  • Metallurgy knowledge or Mechanical knowledge
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills are needed to be able to effectively communicate (written and oral) to all levels of BorgWarner and Supplier organizations.
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes of casting is required.
  • Fluent English.
  • Six Sigma green or black belt (preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of IATF 16949 quality systems and requirements.
  • Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability of challenge job, willing to accept high-frequency business trips.
