Title: Manufacturing System Test Engineer


  • Develop electrical, thermal, and mechanical test plan for remanufacture of electronic controllers
  • Develop test code using National Instruments Test Stand, Lab Windows CVI, and LabView, etc.
  • Evaluate and revise product test code as needed related to FIS, and product test environment for remanufacture
  • Comprehend PXI test hardware and test software interaction for test development
  • Drive procurement of remanufacturing equipment
  • Read and comprehend electronic schematics and drawings
  • Interface with other test engineers and equipment manufactures
  • Develop test data collection, archive, and analysis plan to meet BorgWarner and customer requirements
  • To design /develop and implement manufacturing processes and machinery in line with BorgWarner’s specification that meet current minimum FTQ of 98% and 95% uptime within the  Test department
  • To provide technical support and expertise of test processes in order to continuously improve manufacturing performance with regard to productivity output and cost.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of quality and productivity improvements, including updating and maintenance of the quality plan, process control docs, scrap reduction, OEE, QRCM containment and root cause actions.
  • To ensure the effective management within the production area in line with company policies and procedures, of engineering change, product revisions and upgrade and ensure the cost effective and timely new product introduction.
  • To generate and maintain all line manufacturing documentation in line with BorgWarner’s standards.
  • Support and drive ongoing remanufacturing improvement


  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical,  Mechanical or Science Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in design and/or manufacturing of Electronics or Electro-mechanical devices/ test equipment
  • 4+ years of experience with hands-on manufacturing experience with electrical/electro -mechanical components
  • 4+ years of experience with the use of laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters and Function Generators, Soldering Equipment
  • 4+ years of experience with Data Acquisition Systems and Vision systems
  • 2+ years of experience with LabVIEW, C++, or VB (optional)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Remanufacturing Experience
  • Experience with engine subsystems and electro mechanical devices (Smart Remote Actuators, EGR Valves, ECU’s, Control Modules, Solenoid control using PWM
  • CAN communication tools example CANalyzer
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of: Microsoft SQL ,Microsoft Word ,Microsoft PowerPoint. 
  • Mathematics/numerical analysis
  • Analogue and Digital electronics
  • Low pressure and high pressure hydraulic systems & pneumatics
  • Electronics measurement systems
  • Data acquisition , data analysis, SPC ,OEE, Shainin
