The Lead Engineer is responsible for supporting concept development and design for components or systems for the

automotive market. The individual will demonstrate characteristics that foster team progress; take the initiative on

challenging assignments; and create opportunity where none exists. Capable of demonstrating good problem solving

skills and strong analytical skills. Requires an entrepreneurial attitude in developing both an engineering case and a

business case.


- Evaluation and negotiation of customer requirements, establishing interface between customer and internal BWEs

engineering team towards a product definition.

- Coordination between customer and internal BWES engineering team members in the definition and release of the BWEs


- Coordinates technical activities between customer and internal BWES team throughout the program, ensuring an

alignment between internal tasks of each one of the BWEs engineering team members towards the final technical goal of

the product.

- Scheduling and performing of interdisciplinary Technical Meetings ( Hardware, Software, Mechanic, Integration)

- Interface between Program Manager and rest of the development team.

- Electrical Function tests, PAV and Validation Plan definition: Participates in its definition throughout the project

implementation, establishing the interface with Customer, and ensuring technical coordination between each one of the

Engineering areas.

- Validation tests execution strategy definition and execution follow up.

- Leads the DFMEA release and ensures the Product Special Characteristics definition.

- Ensures internal coordination towards a design release according to technical and timing expectations.

- Technical face to Customer: Will travel to customer for technical reviews, presenting and supporting BEWs technical

proposal, product analysis results or test results.

- Coordination of prototype delivery between customer and internal BWES team.

- Responsible for providing the documentation needed in the programs to the program manager.

- Demonstrates knowledge and responsibility for the performance of the quality system and standards.

- Work is requested and completed with moderate decision making.

- Teamwork — Considers and seeks out the impact of his/her actions within the team. Actively seeks collaboration with

internal and external team members.
