POSITION SUMMARY

At our World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, we are looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a: IT Enterprise Business Systems & SAP Intern.

In this joint internship with the SAP and Enterprise Business Applications Teams, our Information Technology Intern will have the opportunity to gain experience across various areas of IT including: SAP, IT budgeting and analytics, process development, project management, and daily operational activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

SAP

  • BorgWarner is currently implementing the BorgWarner Global Enterprise template at locations across the world.  In this position, you will work under the direction of the BorgWarner SAP Core to complete activities that support the global roll-out of this template

  • Opportunities include (but are not limited to) SAP Security and related projects;  ABAP programming; developing, testing, documenting and supporting SAP solutions for BorgWarner in the SAP modules of Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Order to Cash (OTC)

Analyst:

  • IT Intern will be responsible for documenting and improving standardized processes and reporting and implementing enhancement requests
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards to address key data analytics requirements

Robotic Process Automation

  • Support global efficiency through streamlining business processes and developing bots to address business needs

Operations support

  • Perform ongoing operations, including system administration activities, budget support, trouble-shooting, and internal customer support. 

Project Activities

  • Participate in / lead collaborative IT and Business initiatives

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate/Graduate student attending an accredited university with an emphasis in Computer Science or related field
  • Must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Must have availability to work a minimum of 25-29 hours per week.

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
