Position Summary
 Responsible for the general coordination of various processes, procedures, and other initiatives for the engineering department.
 Main responsibilities include engineering change coordinator within Teamcenter, monitoring of the Engineering 8D progress, layered audit tracking and execution, Engineering SharePoint maintenance and administration, coordination of patent registration, coordination of external audits and other Engineering administrative support as needed.

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the general coordination of various processes, procedures, and other initiatives for the engineering department. Main responsibilities include engineering change coordinator within Teamcenter, reinforcing the change management process, and assisting/training others with the engineering change management process and Teamcenter. This includes e.g.:
    • Oversee product release/change processes within Teamcenter.
    • Provide input during Kick Off Meeting to help define requirements and reinforce the change management process.
    • Create the routings of engineering changes within Teamcenter.
    • Maintain tracking and expediting changes to meet program timing requirements.
    • Complete final review of changes and DR creation within Teamcenter.
    • Maintain Program Matrix for approval routings based on roles and responsibilities.
    • Contact plant change coordinator to begin CI process
    • Support the drawing priority reviews with Teamcenter status data and dates.
  • Tracking of 8D progress and Engineering process improvement activities, generate monthly overviews and run reports to support Engineering metrics.
  • Reinforce layered audit execution, take part in / or conduct audits as needed, update audit forms and generate monthly overviews and run report to support Engineering metrics.
  • Regularly maintain and update the engineering SharePoint site
  • Coordinate patent review and registration, both internally and externally
  • Coordinate external audit activities, e.g. IATF 3rd Party
  • Other administrative support within Engineering as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 1 year of comparable work experience in an engineering Product Lifecycle Management System (PLM) like Teamcenter or similar.
  • Ability to use common software like O365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc….) is required.
  • Professional English language skills
  • Knowledge about Quality Systems is a plus
  • Patent administration knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Experience with SharePoint administration is a plus
  • Experience conducting live training sessions and creating technical training materials is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to a diverse global audience.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and good proofreading skills.
  • Able to navigate a global organization and deliver results through formal and informal channels.
  • Able to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
