As a global supply management specialist/analyst, you turn data into information and information into insight to support the organisation turning insight into business decisions.
The focus of your job is the collection, analysis and processing of suppliers spend, contracted saving, non contracted saving, saving percentage, commodity spend related data, providing ongoing reports. Broadening the use of data to the further spend/saving/commodity analysis report is also part of this position. It also includes the care for databases, data collection systems and analysing tools as key user and identification and implementation of improvements. At the same time, the Analyst shall also take responsibility of supporting VP GSM to facilitate necessary events like sourcing event, internal GSM Leadership events, GSM weekly staff meeting, set up the agenda and release the open issues list and later monitor and ensure the closure of the open issues accordingly.
The share between support for data analyst, draft related reports and the support for VP GSM on daily events facilitation and other daily business is around 50:50.

  • Acquire, analyse and interpret data, producing clear and compelling reports for different audiences, for example but not limited to:
    • Global suppliers spend ABC list – by plants, by region
    • Saving analysis report with detailed contract saving, non contracted saving, VAVE, etc.
    • Commodity spend, saving trend analysis for global commodity managers or directors
    • Global supply management budget saving and spend summary report
  • Handle large and complex datasets in different formats;¸create code and analysis scripts in Excel
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets; Statistically analyse data and interpret findings
  • Manipulate data and understands the underlying process details
  • Interface between IT and functional departments as Key User for core database, data analysing and reporting tools (e.g. SAP, Qlik, ). This does include coaching and training for other users as well.
  • Identify and implement together with IT the systems/tools
  • Other administrative work (e.g. but not limited to organisation of meetings/events, generating meeting minutes, monitor the closure of the open issues list, support for travel planning and expense reports)
