The Actuation Engineer is responsible for all the control parts regarding the application specific topics during turbocharger development process, including pneumatic/electric actuator, pneumatic/electric CRV, speed sensors.


  • Support new electric component development based on project requests, discuss and define DVP&R, PVP&R together with basic development team.
  • Lead the discussion on customer SOR to check the technical reasonability of customer requirements, define and manage electric component project specific requirements documentation for each project.
  • Lead discussion with the electric component supplier on customer specific requirements to check the technical feasibility.
  • Compare customer specification with supplier specification to figure out the technical feasibility for the certain project. Work with supplier to find out the suitable technical solution to meet customer specific requirements.
  • Define and manage the technical deviation list (customer specification vs. supplier specification), define the validation plan, track the validation test status.
  • Define technical customer interface for the project.
  • Collaborate with application engineer to define the application boundary condition and perform kinematic calculation for electric/pneumatic actuator application.
  • Define the kinematic adjustment/set parameter on turbocharger for prototype shop.
  • Define / request / check / support the releasing process of the electric component drawings.
  • Lead electric component related tests defined in turbocharger DVP.
  • Lead the problem shooting regarding electric components.
  • Coordinate from other functional areas (quality, production manufacturing, supply chain, application engineering and R&D) as needed to test turbocharger at engine dyno, gas stand, vehicle, etc.
  • Employees should strictly abide the EHS rules and regulations and behavior guide line in the plant; wear PPE in right way; actively participate in EHS training; do housekeeping at work; report accidents and unsafe issues immediately, join the accident disposal. Specific presentation can be reached in TMS system and individual job description.
  • Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.


  • Master degree or above in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering or similar
  • Knowledge of engine / vehicle and test equipments
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing process in automotive sector – Automotive components or turbocharger is beneficial. Theoretical background of turbocharger is preferred
  • Good understanding on electronic components of vehicle
  • Knowledge about 2D drawings and it’s correlation to 3D real parts
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage technical details with customer
  • Team player and good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills for technical issues through combination of theoretical knowledge and tests/validation process
  • Strong ability of using English in verbal and written form is preferred
  • Proficient with standard Microsoft office products
  • Experience in engine or vehicle testing is preferred
