The IT Business Analyst/Specialist (MES) will review, analyze, debug, and modify the design and
function of the FORCAM MES System. The position will champion the use of commonly-used concepts, standards, best practices, and procedures within the existing MES implementation. Works well with end users to provide system support and to understand enhancement requests. Gathers business requirements and develops design/programming specifications. He creates proposals for decisions, managing and planning part-projects. Test, document, and conduct end user training regarding MES functions to ensure the system is being used properly and meeting business needs. Will be part of the program management team for all rollouts of MES in his region.

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Utilize project methodology standards to implement global initiatives
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), iii. Use Cases, Screen and Interface designs)
  • Utilize your experience in using world-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Work independently with project teams to define concepts and under direction of project managers
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
  • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
  • Tests, documents, and conducts end user training regarding system enhancements to ensure the system is being used properly and that it is meeting business needs.

  • Communicates and enforces safe work procedures.
  • Manage expectations and communication with business stakeholders at his/her organization level
  • Provide initial project estimates for cost-benefit analysis
  • Provides Training in MES for local IT teams and Key Users 
  • ITIL Know How

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Industrial or Telecomm Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Business Information Systems or related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business system analysis or related area is required.
  • At least 3 years of Manufacturing processes
  • Fluent Oral English communication
  • SAP system design experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with configuration options, blueprinting etc.
  • Practical knowledge on MES implementation methodology, system development methodology and Quality Assurance practices.
  • Strong business analysis, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance methodologies; system testing strategies, planning and
  • execution.
  • Experience with Project Management tools is required (PMI, etc.).
  • Strong customer relationship skills are required
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities.
  • Service Management Knowledge (ITIL) is desired
  • Knowledge and experience with IT controls and governance
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Flexibility to work on matrix environment and remote IT organization
  • Strong conflict management skills are required.
  • Experience with relational database design and client server concepts is required.
  • Work experience with business applications
  • Solid working knowledge of personal computers and servers including Windows, Linux, SQL and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
