About BorgWarner Water Valley

Founded in 1972, the Water Valley facility manufactures Solenoids, Transmission Control Modules, and Stop/Start Accumulator Systems for the Big Three Automotive Manufacturers.

Employing over 500 team members in its 225,000 square foot facility, BorgWarner is the largest employer in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. BorgWarner received the PACE Innovation Partnership Award for the Eco-Launch™ Stop/Start Accumulator Solenoid Valve, which is produced at the Water Valley facility.

In 2017, 2018, and 2019, BorgWarner Water Valley was selected as one of Mississippi's Healthiest Workplaces by the Mississippi Business Journal.

In December 2019, OSHA recognized BorgWarner Water Valley for exemplary achievement through OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).  This is a program that recognizes and partners with businesses and worksites that show excellence in occupational safety and health. Sites are committed to effective employee protection beyond the requirements of OSHA standards. VPP participants develop and implement systems to effectively identify, evaluate, prevent, and control occupational hazards to prevent employee injuries and illnesses.

In 2020, BorgWarner Water Valley successfully met the criteria to receive the CEO's Safety Excellence Award.  This was accomplished by a plant-wide commitment to world-class safety and health practices.  Recipients of this award must work a year and 1 million hours without a recordable incident.
