POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a student interested in a Sales internship opportunity located at our Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI.

The Sales Intern is designed to provide hands-on experience with sales professionals from the perspective of a Tier-One Automotive Supplier. The program will provide individuals with exposure to a variety of challenging assignments while assisting the North America Sales teams. Individual and team assignments and responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate according to the needs of the sales organization along with developmental considerations for the interns.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Process Development Support and Tracking (Customer, Executive Summary, and 10yr LRP).
  • Responsible for processing all customer contracts through contract approval process. This includes confirming that the contract is aligned with the quotation
  • Support sales activities and interaction with program management, global supply chain and business development.
  • Support of sales personnel with customer activities, technical presentations, vehicle demonstrations.
  • Coordination with the marketing group for improved forecasting and market share tracking.
  • Support and process improvements of the Global Quote Tracking system. Other projects as deemed necessary by sales and the leadership team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled, pursuing an Engineering or Business major
  • Must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Must have availability to work a minimum of 25-29 hours per week.

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
