Software Architect – High Voltage Inverters (Nürnberg or Luxembourg)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Software Architect for BorgWarner High Voltage Power Electronics Products is responsible to develop and document the software architectural design in both static and dynamic aspects. You will work with the software development team to analyze new requirements and defects for architectural impacts and will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team, working on latest state of the art 800V SiC and 400V Si / SiC Inverters for Battery Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles for the eMobility mass market.

Job Location: Nürnberg or Luxembourg

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates with System Architect and Electronics Engineer

  • Develop Software architectural design

  • Allocate software requirements

  • Define interfaces of software elements

  • Describe dynamic behavior

  • Define resource consumption objectives

  • Evaluate alternative software architectures after having defined evaluation criteria

  • Establish bidirectional traceability between software requirements and the software architectural design

  • Insure consistency between software requirements and the software architectural design

  • Keep abreast of new technologies

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Engineering degree; 4 plus years of experience in Automotive Engineering

  • Experience in eMobility High Voltage Products like High Voltage Inverters

  • Good knowledge of C language

  • Experience with AUTOSAR BSW

  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink autocoding

  • Experience with multi-core architecture, preferably Aurix family

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Well organized and structured

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Fluent in English and German
