POSITION SUMMARY

BorgWarner is currently seeking for a “dynamic, results-driven” individual to join as Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture at our World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. 

This is a unique opportunity to join the BorgWarner team in an area focusing on the company’s critical business needs of data and architecture. This hands-on position will build the architecture artifacts and documents for the current, interim, and future state of the technologies, applications and environments pertaining to the data and processes across the enterprise.  It is a growing environment with an expectation of technical guidance and influence.

This position reports to the Senior Director of IT Transformation, Enterprise Data Analytics and Corporate Systems.  The enterprise data analytics architects will report directly to this position. There will be an indirect relationship across the business unit enterprise and solution architects to this position via the Center of Excellence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Determine the Current State and Define Interim and Future States of Enterprise Architecture

  • Current footprint assessment leading to the enterprise architecture opportunities and strategy
  • Definition, implementation, and execution of the processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the Enterprise Architecture – focused on data.
  • Maintenance of the key Enterprise Architecture deliverables

Enterprise Architecture Role

  • Architect for cross-program, and cross-project Architecture strategies and problem resolution
  • Architect for complex development data projects
  • Consultant in business process data analysis and design

Create and Grow the Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence (COE)

  • Build the enterprise archictecutre COE, encompassing enterprise and solution architects, and develop partnerships with key providers, as needed
  • Build the architecture competency via hands on experiences, creating a collaborative environment, and offer curriculum plans through the learning management options at BorgWarner
  • Create more rigor and business value for architecture decisions

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years of analysis experience is expected
  • Broad background in different sectors (engineering, manufacturing, planning)
  • Demonstrated skills and actual examples of models built using the Enterprise Framework
  • Leadership experience managing data architecture engagements within large complex organizations
  • Enterprise analytics technologies experiences from data source to ingestion to replication to data lake to data cleansing and preparation to presentation layer
  • Awareness and involvement with Master Data Management as it pertains to the evolution of architecture

SAFETY

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
