To support our team located in Bascharage, Luxembourg we are currently looking for:

Electronic Systems Diagnostics Engineer
Power Electronics Inverter

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for customer diagnostics/On-Board Diagnostics (OBD)  requirements management, translation of customer requirements in to detailed product requirements, design items, and compliance testing for power electronics inverter. Will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team working on projects involving multiple locations.

Specific description:

  • Interface with a German customer to gather and analyze Stakeholder requirements related to diagnostics

  • Decompose Stakeholder requirements in to architectural blocks, I/O interfaces and system requirements/design that are assigned to discipline (SW, HW and Validation)

  • Generate Diagnostics technical document for customer

  • Defining the requirements for Basic Diagnostics, OBDI, OBDII, UDS, ODX and the configuration of the DCM/DEM, with the support of SW team

  • Generates product functional test plan (compliance testing) for diagnostics Understand the legislative diagnostics requirements for Europe, USA, others (OBD)

  • Generates the documentation for the System Release of the full product, not only diagnostics

  • Provide all documentation and rational to obtain the OBD type approval in US, China, EMEA…

  • Develop the System design by Enterprise Architect and Matlab/Simulink Autocoding

  • Use Polarion and JIRA tool for documentation, tracking, reporting and planning

Essential requirements:

  • University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Bac +5 / Masters

  • Diagnostics and OBD design experience

  • Big picture thinker with an eye for details

  • Understanding of vehicle electronic requirements and power electronics systems requirements (electrical machine control)

  • Experience in real-time embedded system design

  • Strong communication skills are essential

  • Previous experience in automotive powertrain/power electronics and in Matlab/Simulink autocoding are a benefit

  • Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and software

  • Fluency in English is required. German/French would be an advantage
