BorgWarner is proud to partner with Honda Performance Development (HPD) and provide BorgWarner Engineered For Racing (EFR™) turbochargers as well as Compact Brushless Actuators (CBA) for the Acuras that compete in IMSA’s fastest class: Daytona Prototype International (DPi).

International Motor Sports Association (IMSA)—North America’s premier sportscar racing organization—can have up to five race classes competing on the track at the same time. Each year, the IMSA Series starts in January with the most coveted event of the year: the 24 Hours at Daytona. Finishing an endurance race is a significant accomplishment, winning one is a true testament to product durability and performance. BorgWarner is honored to have visited Daytona’s victory circle three times so far!

For over a decade, BorgWarner EFR turbos and CBAs have been a part of HPD’s winning combination, racking up numerous sportscar endurance race and championship wins, including:

  • 24 Hour of Daytona (2016, 2021, 2022)
  • 24 Hours of Le Mans (2012)
  • Petit Le Mans (2016)
  • 12 Hours of Sebring (2012, 2014, 2016)
  • IMSA Series Championship (2019, 2020)
