AirWerks is an independent aftermarket program from BorgWarner. This venture is focused on creating exceptionally high engine performance through forced induction technology. SX, SX-E and SX-R Series Turbochargers, Designed to Race

Developed as a joint effort between BorgWarner and GM’s in-house racing program in 2004, AirWerks turbochargers were designed to create reliable and consistent boost for GM’s Pro FWD (front-wheel drive) sport compact racecars.

The AirWerks SX, SX-E and SX-R incorporate serviceable twin hydrodynamic journal bearings with a high-pressure ratio compressor stage utilizing extended-tip technology and a high-efficiency turbine stage.

AirWerks SX-R Supercores

New Product!  BorgWarner Turbo Aftermarket is pleased to announce the release of the AirWerks® S200 SX-R and S300 SX-R series super-cores for performance applications!  SX-R offers the latest innovations and recent updates to the classic SX and SX-E product lines. SX-R is proudly Made in the USA at BorgWarner’s factory located in Arden, NC.

SX-R offers improved aerodynamics thanks to a new compressor wheel architecture which improves aerodynamics, flow, more power, and efficiency across the map width – all without compromising spool-up!  The smaller rotor group offers reduced inertia and faster time to boost than similarly sized rotor groups.  All SX-R supercores include a unique black anodized compressor wheel which adds bling while preventing corrosion.
