Supplier Quality Engineer
Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) – Automotive
Join our Quality team in a fast-growing eMobility environment. In this role, you will be responsible for supplier component quality in global automotive projects (including OEMs), with a real impact on quality performance and supply chain development.
Job Purpose
Ensure supplier quality performance by driving effective problem resolution, continuous improvement, and robust supplier development processes. Act as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure high-quality standards and support smooth product launches.
🔹 Your Responsibilities
- Manage supplier quality (Supplier Quality Assurance – SQA) in automotive projects
- Analyze and solve quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa methodologies
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) at suppliers
- Conduct supplier audits
- Evaluate and develop suppliers (Supplier Development)
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and global suppliers
- Support new product launches (APQP, PPAP, component implementation)
- Manage supplier changes (Supplier Change Management)
- Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, complaints, KPIs)
🔹Our Requirements
Must-have:
- Technical degree (preferred: electronics, mechanics, mechatronics)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as:
- Supplier Quality Engineer / SQE / SQA, or
- in supplier or production quality within automotive
- Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa
- Familiarity with standards: IATF 16949, ISO 9001
- Experience working with suppliers and solving quality issues
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP processes
- English at a communicative level (min. B2)
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
- Independence and sense of responsibility
🔹 Nice to Have
- Experience in electronics / PCB / electronic components
- Knowledge of measurement methods and ability to read technical drawings
- Experience in supplier audits
- Knowledge of VDA 6.3 is an advantage
