Job purpose

The Senior SharePoint Developer serves as a key member of the business applications development team, which provides custom web solutions for internal and external use.  The position offers a challenging opportunity for a high-energy individual with strong development skills and awareness of web design principles.  Assumes project management and development responsibility in delivering custom solutions utilizing SharePoint Online (O365) and On-Prem (2019) frameworks.

Key responsibilities

  • Able to work independently in this role, fulfilling all the requirements of this document with minimal input and direct supervision from group manager; capable of mentoring junior developers in best practices
  • Collaborates with group manager, business analysts, and internal customers to thoroughly define application and service requirements
  • Collaborates with group manager to create accurate time and resource estimates for new applications, services, and software extensions
  • Document design requirements via entity/object diagrams, responsibility descriptions, and use case details to properly factor logic responsibilities into appropriate software layers
  • Develops standard interfaces between components to create easily maintainable software
  • Document source code when required for interpretation, extension, and support by other team members, remote business units, and promotes team member interchangeability
  • Ensures the effective delivery of all project deliverables via Project Management within project constraints by following best practices and effectively applying software life cycle management tools and techniques
  • Participates in creation of application training materials and conducting of training to ensure successful production launches

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related degree
  • Proven experience in SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server 2019
  • 10+ years in Software Development preferably in large scale custom projects.
  • 8+ years experience SharePoint configuration, implementation and technical deployment
  • Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath Forms, including complex workflows and page design
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing web pages and web parts, master pages and layout pages.
  • Experience understanding SharePoint lists, libraries, workflows, and content/records management capabilities. Experience with Excel services and/or business data connectivity a plus.
  • Experience with Web and Mobile technologies (i.e. HTML5, JavaScript frameworks - Bootstrap, Angular, jQuery, React, SQL, C#, CSS, XSL/XML)
  • Knowledge and usage of Power Apps, Power Automate, Forms, PowerShell scripting language
  • Hands-on development experience using C#, .NET Framework, web services, SQL server 2019
  • Ability to work in a fast-paces environment, prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
  • Ability to work directly with all levels of the organization, including middle to senior management
  • Ability to provide technology solutions that meet the business needs while staying within budget and often rapid timeframes
  • Ability to act as business analyst, when required
  • Results oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working on cross-company or cross organization projects
  • Ability to understand new technology and drive the successful implementation and adoption of new technology tools
  • Ability and desire to solve complex software problems
