POSITION SUMMARY

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the mechanical design of our electronic products . Solve and coordinate all necessary technical issues during the development of the product within BorgWarner and towards the customer.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Customer specification review.

- Design Mechanical parts for GPCM such as housing and cover. Define PCB shape and size.

- Create concept, 3D and 2D data with CAD (CATIA V5).

- Material selection for plastic and metal parts.

- Investigation of tolerances to meet production and application requirements.

- Work with production plant departments like purchasing, quality, production and sample shop.

- Check and release technical documents.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- Master Degree of Science or Bachelor Degree in Engineering or similar education

- Experience of 5 years as mechanical Design engineer in the automotive electronic development, such as electronic

control unit.

- Experience designing automotive integrated connectors in plastic covers with over molded lead frames.

- Good technical knowledge in materials: plastic, metals. Potting. Plastic laser.

- Be able to communicate in English, proficient user

- High level of knowledge in Portuguese language is required

- Good communication Skills
