BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an IT Analyst Intern at our Noblesville Technical Center (NTC) in Noblesville, Indiana.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Senior Systems Analyst, this role will help support and maintain engineering systems at the unit and enterprise level.  The selected candidate will be open to learning, understand and apply emerging CAD/ECAD/CAM/CAE/PLM (CAx) technologies while maintaining the focus of work at the group/multi-site/enterprise level.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Respond to Engineering service ticket items in queue per priority level.
  • Work with IT support team to manage all associated work.
  • Assist with project tasks and related work
  • CAD/ECAD/CAE application support/installation/configuration.
  • Keep and manage list of action items/open items and resolution.  Communicate with customer base as required.
  • Maintain communication channels with customer on open issues
  • Develop Initial Analysis for new customer requests and actively coordinate/follow-up on customer requests.

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate student, Freshman/Sophomore level
  • Majoring in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAE applications (Creo, Autodesk, NX, ANSYS) preferred
  • Basic understanding of ECAD applications desired
  • Microsoft Windows 7/10 administration desired
  • Basic understanding of engineering PLM systems desired
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP at the workstation/enterprise level, etc.).
  • Maintains a business and IT application focus. 
  • Understands and implements appropriate IT security measures.
  • Works with IT staff and functional areas to ensure technology effectiveness.
  • Ability to work full time in summer and part time throughout the school year.
  • Must be local to the Noblesville, IN area.
