Program, direct, and control the production process, as well as to meet production objectives in quality, quantity, time, and verify the proper use of machinery and equipment assigned to personnel; As well as the workforce is adequate and complies with what is defined in the manufacturing standards.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Comply with the production programmed in time, quantity and quality
  • Lead Problem-solving activities for poor quality situations internally, based on FTT and scrap information. It should be supported by the CFT for an efficient activity (MQE, maintenance technician, quality auditor, materials manager, etc.)
  • Actively participate in the CFT for Problem Solving caused by customer complaints or reported warranty issues
  • Maximize line productivity and performance
  • Ensure, validate and audit the correct management, segregation, identification and reporting of the scrap generated in the production lines under its responsibility
  • Promote and ensure adherence to BorgWarner's production systems; such as: start sheet preparation, release of PKYK's, first part, JSA's, etc
  • Ensure the attachment to the manning in the quantity of personnel defined in the concept of manufacture
  • Keep up to date and bring continuous improvement of internal metrics; Such as: rotation, absenteeism, security, production compliance, OEE, FTT, Scrap, TPM, etc.
  • Ensure and promote order, cleanliness, hygiene and safety in the workplace 
  • Actively participate and promote the participation of personnel in charge of Continuous Improvement activities; Such as: idea generation, 5S's, Kaizen Workshops, Yellow Belt, etc.
  • Lead the starter gasket on production lines and plant start gasket on a daily basis

Education:   

  • Engineering or administrative area.

Experience

  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing +2yr

  • Computer Management (TPM) +1yr
  • Management and administration of personnel +1yr
  • Analysis and solution of problems +2yr
  • Material handling and control +2yr
