We operate in two groups: The Engine Group develops air management strategies and products to optimize engines for fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and enhanced performance. BorgWarner’s expertise includes engine timing systems, boosting systems, ignition systems, air and noise management, cooling and controls. The Drivetrain Group harnesses a legacy of more than 100 years as an industry innovator in transmission and all-wheel drive technology. The group leverages this understanding of powertrain clutching technology to develop interactive control systems and strategies for all types of torque management.

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Manufacturing Director at our SLP Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Director will be primarily responsible for developing action plans to implement manufacturing strategy in the areas of direct and indirect labor, supporting supplies, plant engineering, quality, and continuous improvement for a large production facility or campus. Implement actions to assure facility meets customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery. Manage and develop production support team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Direct all production activities at a large plant or campus.
  • Align plant production objectives with overall business unit strategy.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency and productivity of production facility.
  • Ensure production volume, cost and quality of production, and production schedules are met.
  • Manage, train, and develop direct reports through the use of TMS and other developmental programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in related discipline.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience supervising a group of mid or senior level professionals and/or entry level managers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Recognized expert with ability to convey/train knowledge to others and provide mentoring.
  • Ability to provide functional leadership.
