The Accounting Manager manages the day to day activities within the Shared Service and Accounting Department.  This includes overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, month end close, forecast, business financial performance measurement, cost reduction, annual budget and long-range planning. The position will report to the Sr. Director of Finance.

This position directs the Accounting function (A/P, A/R, G/L) for the Corporate and Corporate Mirror entities. This position is responsible for all functions with respect to accounts payable, accounts receivable, long range business planning, business financial performance measurement, cost reduction, forecasts, budgets, fixed asset accounting, and internal controls. Be a key member of the Shared Service & Accounting Department developing the specific knowledge of Corporate structure and processes, business measurement tools, and financial control systems.


  • Champion the drive for continuous improvements in cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Must be able to influence peers and the management team with clear concise information identifying opportunities for improvement, establishing goals based on these opportunities, and measuring progress towards meeting those goals.
  • Plan and develop effective accounting system and procedures in order to provide external financial reports and internal performance reports.
  • Direct the preparation of timely financial analyses and reports to provide management with valid indicators of results.
  • Lead the month end closing process for the Corporate entities including review of journal entries and account reconciliations where appropriate. 
  • Direct the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and operating plans for the Corporate entities.
  • Supervise and direct the financial and administrative control functions to ensure proper and robust internal controls are in place to exceed required control levels.
  • Take appropriate action to recruit, train, and develop a competent organization. Maintain an organizational structure where responsibility is clearly defined and expected work outcomes are achieved.
  • Oversee the Concur configuration for US entities.
  • Reconcile Board of Directors cost center and payments. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Safety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • CMA, CPA, or MBA Preferred
  • 8 Years related experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Must be a team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive, decisive and able to work independently on a broad variety of subjects.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication (verbal, written, and non-verbal), listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results driven and accountable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fluent in business English, both oral and written, additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong competence in standard software applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
