Deliver to the productive areas in the organization a validated and approved product and process at the end of a project launching with complete, reviewed and approved quality documentation by the customer. A stablished, measurable and achievable acceptance criterion, internal as with customer. Besides, assure the accomplishment of legal and government requirements through the BorgWarner Quality System.

  • To be the main contact with the client in the quality part.
  • Protect, first, the interests of the (final) customer without leaving aside, the interests of BorgWarner.
  • Maintain effective communication with the client (internal and external) to ensure that what is communicated is not an impediment to achieving results/objectives for both parties.
  • Ensure that activities performed conform to all client, legal, IATF-16949, corporate, and campus client requirements with respect to the product/project.
  • Maintain the documents of which we are owners, updated, as for level of engineering and integration of the information (alignment with other related documents).
  • Approval of the pertinent steps to the function to the changes of engineering in SAP (CR's), with the tasks that are assigned, looking for punctuality in the same ones together with evidence where it is necessary (#SREA, PSW signed by client, etc).
  • Preparation of inspection plans in SAP for components to be used in the launch phases.
  • Elaboration of rejections towards suppliers through the project buyer.
  • Revisions of drawings and giving feedback during the sessions of revision of drawings summoned by the design engineer.
  • Issuance of the PPAP to the client in the different phases of the project/PPAP by organizing relevant information such as AMEF, Control Plan, MSA studies, SPC studies, etc. in the client's portals or in the medium designated by the client.
  • To be the main contact between the plant, the organization, and the project team.
  • Master BorgWarner's corrective action process to determine, when appropriate with the help of the multidisciplinary team, the root cause of a problem, so that when appropriate, to lead the corrective action process from the definition of the team to its conclusion duly accepted by the client.
