BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Control Engineer at our SLP Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Sr. PLM, the Control Engineer will be primarily responsible for developing, supporting and efficient control equipment in existing manufacturing and testing processes, as well as in new projects, the result of which is the fulfillment of organizational objectives and the elaboration of proposals to improve the processes and equipment applied.


• Manage the necessary software for control equipment.
• Manage adequate support of programs on control teams.
• Coordinate with the area of Manufacturing Engineering, actions for the optimization of control and security systems.
• Participate in both corrective and preventive actions in the face of maintenance area problems
• Statistical study and analysis of production lines to detect failures and reflect improvement results.
• Update of control systems in production equipment
• Verify compliance with the different steps of the production processes defined through systems logic.
• Maintain current control equipment.
• Make an annual support of the control teams.

 This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner SLP Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires.  This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses.  He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and co-workers.  In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
