Position Summary

  • This position is responsible for supplier Quality control, supplier performance maintenance and supplier quality problem resolution and report.

    Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of all company policies and regulations including position relevant responsibilities in the Safety Responsibility System of the company.
  • Supplier Quality control.
  • Clear understand requirements on the drawing, in particular all key product characteristics (KPC).
  • Clear understand the key and pass through characteristics control in supplier process with control methods =>Supplier PPAP document developing per PPAP manual including engineering change requirements.
  • Supplier PPAP review and on side audit to consistency.
  • Supplier PPAP approval ( by SDE&SQE,quality manager if need).
  • Supplier performance improving and define action plan.
  • Quality performance report such as reject/return rate, and customer PPM regarding supplied parts.
  • Supplier quality problem resolution and review 8D report.
  • Engineering change follow-up including subcontract, material & tooling and process etc.
  • Regular supplier audit.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Coaching supplier in APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA etc.
  • Other assigned job.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years of Quality Engineering experience in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and manufacturing processes required
  • Knowledge of QS-9000/IATF16949 requirements including APQP and PPAP required
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA is required.
  • Effective at defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and/or concrete variables.
  • Proficient at developing trip reports, general business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from management and/or customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Prefer more than 2 years of working experience in automobile electronic component industry.
