BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an EMC Test Technician at our Indiana Technical Center (ITC) in Kokomo, Indiana.

The EMC Test Technician will perform electromagnetic compatibility testing on production samples to identify potential susceptibility and/or interference of other devices in the field.  This person will work closely with the EMC Test Engineers and design engineers to setup, collect data, and report results. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution of EMC validation tests per industry and customer standards
  • Monitor and record performance of device under test
  • Document test setup and collected data
  • Create and maintain test procedures
  • Collaborate with EMC and design engineers
  • Identifying potential cost savings and improvements
  • Assist in debugging of EMC setups
  • Support product engineering on root cause analysis of product failures

Requirements:

  • Associate degree required in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar technical field
  • Prior EMC Experience required
  • Demonstrated on the job professional and technical competence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be responsible and capable of self-direction
  • Strong leadership skills, driving self and organization to improve performance
  • Collaborative, team player, and display a high level of maturity
  • Likes challenging problems with strong problem solving skills
