BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Indirect Buyer at our SLP Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Indirect Purchasing Supervisor, the Indirect Buyer will be primarily responsible for the assigned product lines, ensuring the timely supply of indirect materials. Develop strategies that allow the acquisition of products, services, applications that are translated into benefit for the company through savings, tenders, improvements in performance (machining, cutting tools, electrical, hardware and / or any other commodity that applies), Expense insource projects with external suppliers, avoided cost plans, meeting the specifications and requirements of our clients. Contribute to the improvement of the results of the plants in their strategic plans in the areas of cost reduction and working capital.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Presentation of improvements in current processes from tactical to more automated processes that allow greater traceability and control (new engineering registrations, claims / rejections, / tests / updates).

• Guarantee the supply of indirect materials, products and services for the assigned plants, complying with the quality, price and time specifications.

• Analysis of the database of assigned commodities, which allows the development of strategies that translate into a supply on time and with quality of products or services.

• Verification of indicators in the market to support negotiations to be carried out with suppliers.

• Preparation of contracts that establish negotiations with suppliers and that ensure adequate supply that meets the needs and requirements of BorgWarner.

• Negotiation with Suppliers ensuring compliance with the established procedures for purchasing indirect material.

• Communication of potential risks of lack of supply or price impacts.

• Generation, development and implementation of savings projects.

• Provide feedback to the indirect material purchasing supervisor on the impacts, risks and results.

• Generation of ideas for improvement in the indirect material purchasing material process (operability, system).

• Approval of requisitions in the system based on the release strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Industrial Engineer, Bachelor of Administration, Commerce or related career.

• Time of experience in a similar position: 1 year in a similar position.

• Technical knowledge required: Preparation of contracts, development of suppliers, conduct of tenders and competitions with suppliers, administration of commodities.

• Other requirements: Microsoft Office, SAP, ERP
