BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Software Build and Tools Architect to support the xEV software platform at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC) in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Job Duties:
Design and Manage the build and tools architecture that is robust and scalable for future of xEV software projects. This includes modeling, software tools, build tools and automated generation of software artifacts to support the platform.
Establish standards and approach for the platform build environment.
Lead team(s) in implementing solutions that are compliant with the build and tools environment approach.
Work with platform customers to train and support in resolving build environment conflicts/struggles.
Identify and lead the software development automation strategy for the software platform.
Responsible for tools selection/development, deployment, and certification.
Manage change requests in the Jira system and with the architecture community to implement your changes into actions.
Support full life cycle SW development including project scope definition, estimation, delivery timing, and project tracking.
Support internal and external quality initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Software engineering, Computer engineering (or foreign equivalent). Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Software development experience of at least 7 years. Automotive and embedded experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience using programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Pearl, or Java.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with modeling tools such as Simulink, Vector DaVinci, PREEvision, etc.
Solid understanding of AUTOSAR code generators, parsers and other auto-generation tool methodologies.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills to work independently and collaboratively with others.
Knowledge of SW Quality processes (e.g. ASPiCE, CMMI).
Experience with Agile development/management techniques is a plus.
Excellent written, presentation, and mentoring skills.
Willingness to travel 5-10% of work hours as required.
