In this position you will be the key contact in the NTC (Ningbo Technical Center) for the Electronics Hardware (HW) topics of our electrical vehicle products. Electronics HW is developed in Spain and you will be a strong member of this team and our close link to Chinese and other Asian markets. You will be the first contact during product development in the NTC, in the production plant and with the customer to participate and contribute to electronics HW related topics during the lifecycle of the project. You will be part of both an international electronics group located in Spain and a strong global technical center in Ningbo who support projects all over the world. Laboratory facilities are available in the workspace. Proximity to the production plant in Ningbo will guarantee the overview of the direct impact of your work. Support will be given from our strong technical center located in Spain. You will have direct contact with the customer and suppliers.
In the end, you will be the voice of the electronics HW team in the technical center, being the first person evaluating the impact and estimating the effort of the issues, new developments, and design change requests.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 Key Electronics HW member located in the technical center in China.

 Deeply understand the HW architecture, schematic, components used and layout to support the system design and engineering project meetings (both internal and with customer).

 Ensure that the system team is creating adeqcuate and detailed electronics HW requirements based on customer and internal specifications, reviews and clarifications.

 Analyze the Electronics HW impact and effort of the change requests, both internal and from customer.

 Responsibility during different audits, representing the HW team.

 Work with Reliability and Test team supporting the analysis of the root cause of the functionality, validation, and field issues. Work with the teardown analysis team when needed, supporting log analysis, and debugging onsite.

 Participates in the implementation of workaround solution.

 Support and perform some hardware test, including EMC testing in the lab.

 Support Design Validation (DV) and support the plant in Process Validation (PV) and End of Line (EOL) design and validation activities.

 Collect valuable information to create statistics with the results coming from the EOL, DV/PV & Electronics Manufacturer Supplier (EMS).

 Onsite problem solving of electronics HW issues in local customers.

 Support on VAVE of local programs on electronics HW.

 Lead and support the plant during the eSCR (electronics Supply Change Request) in the series production projects.

 Support the definition of the electronic-related topics in the Design and Process Validation Test Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

 Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering or similar. M.S. preferred.

 Min 4 years’ experience in electronics HW development (PCBA design) in Automotive environment.

 Min 2 years’ experience in technical customer communication.

 Ability to translate customer specific requirements into technical specifications.

 Experience working in an electronics laboratory (oscilloscopes, power supplies).

 Experience defending customer joint reviews and/or audits.

 Simulation tools, like SPICE, MicroCap, MultiSim, LTspice.

 Knowledge of EMC requirements, testing and compliance. 

 Experience of PCB design, Analog and Digital circuitry (Altium).

 Experience working with suppliers of electronics components.

 Fluent communication skills in English.
