BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Manufacturing Supervisor at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a technical team of Manufacturing Engineers, tilt toward products as electrical motors with partially electronic content
  • Develop technical skills of Manufacturing Team
  • Ensure robustness of projects both in serial production as well as launching phase
  • Responsible to define Capex requirement for Manufacturing department
  • Develop and execute plan to meet Customer requirement
  • Improve competitiveness in terms of cost for Manufacturing
  • Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental prevention standards
  • Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
  • Develop a solid tools for reporting
  • Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
  • Respect and comply with environmental policy rules

Education & Experience

  • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbal and written.
  • Ability and motivation to develop and manage a team and ensure a solid talent pipeline.
  • Analytical, technical, and statistical skills to coach the team.  
  • Good problem-solving capabilities based on methods and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the Organization.
  • Results oriented
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Portuguese (considered a plus)
  • Availability for international Business travels
