This position is a member of the Global Manufacturing Engineering team, who supports the plants with new process innovation, manufacturing standardization, as well as PFMEA and process audits. The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer primarily focus on the support for development of manufacturing systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead the development of new assembly processes or modifications to existing processes from a PFMEA perspective
  • Develop and update standards to ensure a consistent global process approach to manufacturing control and auditing
  • Collaborate with product engineering on new product concepts to ensure the design is manufacturable considering PFMEA methods
  • Collaborate in preparation of initial process flow and layouts in conjunction with the plant
  • Support the DFM/DFA workshop once a new product is approved for production
  • Work with local manufacturing engineering on Design Reviews, control plans, PFMEA and production audits

Your profile

  • Degree in engineering (Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or a related field
  • First professional experience in industrial engineering, e.g., as an engineer within a tech-manufacturing environment, ideally in automotive
  • Ideally, first experience with process engineering & quality management
  • Strong team and communication skills, as well as a sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work within a global team and interact with various cultures to achieve success
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and abroad
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Fluent in German and English
