Advanced Direct Buyer ( Starszy Kupiec)

The person for this position will be responsible for:

·       Role in Purchasing Department – direct purchasing commodity (powder metal, machining);

·       RFQ ~ quote analysis ~ Contribution to the best costed BOM creation;

·       Achieving cost reduction targets;

·       Understanding cost break down based on indexes and market trends (raw material, utilities, inflation, labor, etc.);

·       Supplier sourcing;

·       Negotiation with suppliers for sustainable cost reduction agreement;

·       Collaborate with other functions such as Sales, Engineering etc. to acquire new business;

·       Collaborate with other regions, corporate Global Supply Chain team internationally;

·       Support supplier risk assessment and balance scorecard;

·       Support of escalation at suppliers;

·       Supply Chain internal system operation (SAP, Ivalua, SPS, others);

·       Establishing and maintaining advantageous relationship with domestic and foreign suppliers;

·       Suppliers visits (travel) – 10-15% of time;

Required Qualifications:

·       Experience in an international production company (preferred in the automotive, aviation, machining);

·       Experience – min. 3 years- in direct purchasing (powder metal, casting and/ or machining processes strongly preferred);

·       Good Knowledge of technical drawings/ blueprints;

·       Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytics tools;

·       Fluent English written and spoken required. German language as a plus;

·       International Cross-culture experience (preferred);

·       Knowledge of SAP (preferred) or equivalent ERP system experience;

·       High Communication/Negotiation/collaboration skill with internal/external stakeholders;

·       Self-discipline and very good operational skills;

·       Quick adaptation to changes and priorities;

·       Motivated to challenge new things to learn;

·       Stress resistant;

·       Ability to move between multiple tasks;

·       Team working;
