IT Intern Undergrad Technical

provide a hands-on opportunity and environment to learn the profession of Information Technology at the entry-level from the perspective of a Tier-One Automotive Supplier. We are seeking an IT co-op for the traditional year-round part-time work.

Perform entry-level service desk (aka help desk) functions including:

• Call answering/routing.
• Diagnose and resolve entry-level technical hardware and software issues.
• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
• Install new software on users' computers.
• Clean, modify, and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboards, and printers.
• Follow standard service desk procedures.
• Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
• Work closely with other IT professionals.
• Redirect problems to an appropriate resource.
• Learn to become a liaison between IT professionals and end-user.
