This Intern will be integrated in our Applications Engineering team, located in Viana plant. This position will support the development of EGR Valves.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Creates, develops or adapts product design concepts based on internal standards, calculations, trials, measurements, bench tests, CAE simulations and process methods in conjunction inputs from customers.
  • Checks and releases 2D drawings and 3D models within the associated project or existing products under serial production.
  • Participates in the validation plan definition throughout the product development process
  • Support the D-FMEA release and establishes the product special characteristics SC/CC definition.
  • Supporting the planning and production of Prototype Samples.
  • Suuport on the release of the Prototype Control Plan.
  • Support of the coordination of prototype production cost calculation.
  • Support on product engineering standards releases.
  • Defines the product special characteristics for individual components. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering with mechanical background, Master’s degree desired.
  • Knowledge of SAP R3, CATIA V5, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project (preferred)
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions
  • Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and in English, ideally also in German
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks
  • Must enjoy working with people and contribute to the team success as well as working tenaciously in order to meet or exceed personal goals
  • Strong customer focus and problem-solving to analyze the problem and think creatively to provide a solution
  • Willing to put self in unfamiliar situation in order to learn and to identify new areas of learning
  • Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities and choose appropriate actions
